One Week Ultimate Werewolf First Impressions
Move around a castle, switching roles in One Week Ultimate Werewolf.
After several days, hope no one is pointing their finger at you.
One Week Ultimate Werewolf takes the gameplay of One Night Ultimate Werewolf and twists it up in a knot, with ever-increasing tension as you venture into the special rooms of Ludwig Castle. Each room provides a special power, and those powers are the key to figuring out the mystery of who among you is a werewolf. Roles can be viewed and switched several times before all is said and done, then the final vote takes place.
One Week Ultimate Werewolf Summary
The comparison to One Night Ultimate Werewolf is there, obviously. But this isn’t that type of game. It’s a longer game played over several rounds. Roles may change more than once as you play over several nights.
It’s a slower, thoughtful game more closely related to Dark Moon. With this, you play over several rounds and most actions will cause people’s suspicions to change. So rather than a quick game like ONUW is more like a game like Dark Moon.
Obviously, it’s a short to medium-length game, around an hour depending on the player count. So we wouldn’t put it on the level of a Battlestar Galactica or even a Dead of Winter.

I mention this in the video but because the rooms in the Castle add the variance it gives it a different feel from game to game. But, the base rules, roles and card abilities don’t change.
This will make the game easy to teach. The rooms are open information. Anyone at any time can say “What does <this room> do again?” and not ruin the game.
Actually, thinking of the game that way, a player can ask what a night action on a card does. They could ask, for example, what the Robber does out loud and it wouldn’t spoil anything. It’s not like no one knows they have that role in their hand, everyone does!
That’s a very good thing in my opinion.
