Yay, Dexterity games!
I generally like the sporty type ones. Ones like Kung-Fu Zoo, PitchCar etc. Dexterity and Sport style games go hand in hand.
But those like Ice Cool and Sticky Chameleons work for me too. Anything like this is just good fun and I LOVE the challenge.
Pretty much all of the games I played at Handycon 3 were dexterity games, and they were all fun. The different styles of dexterity games available are fun and this variety helps different people find the one they like.
Hitting that perfect shot is a fantastic feeling. Just like Golf, Bowling, Cricket, Football, Basketball, Pool.. any other sport I’ve played.
Junk Art does dexterity in an interesting way and stops the game from being repetitive.
You’re stacking, always stacking that’s true. But the way you do it changes not just game to game, but round to round. One round could be slow, methodical, or careful. The next could be a race against time.
One round you’re focused on height, building upwards and upwards. The next you’re maybe just trying to stack as many different items as possible, regardless of height.
This variation in gameplay throughout the game helps to keep it fresh and exciting. Especially if you haven’t played it before and you don’t know what’s coming. It’s a shock when one round you’re trying to be first and the next you’re playing a trick-taking game 🙂
I’m talking a lot about the variety because the component quality and everything else is clear to see. But it’s how this game changes that make it a good one.
