Game Description
Welcome to the Dungeon is a push-your-luck dungeon delve in which 2-4 players take turns essentially daring each other to go into a dungeon with less equipment than they start off with while filling the dungeon with monsters.
Set-Up
Place one Adventurer out on the table, we generally start with the suggested first-time character, the Warrior. Put all his equipment face up near him.
Shuffle the monster deck.
Give each player a player aid, keep it white side up.
Determine a random start player.
Welcome to the Dungeon Game Play
Each round is played over 2 phases: The Bidding Phase and The Dungeon Phase.
Bidding Phase
On your turn either pass and drop out of the round completely or…
Draw a card from the Monster deck, then either…
Put the Monster in the Dungeon face down, and play continues.
Or…
Place the Monster out of the dungeon, face down in front of you. If you do this you must remove one piece of the Adventurers Gear and put it in front of you. Play then continues clockwise.
When all players but one have passed, this phase ends. The player that didn’t pass will go into the next phase…

Dungeon Phase
Add up all the HP on the Adventurer…
Then reveal cards from the Monster deck one at a time… If you have the equipment to kill that monster, remove it without taking HP.
If you don’t have the equipment, lose HP equal to the strength of that monster.
If you go through all the of the monsters in the deck without losing all of your Health, take a Success card.
Should you lose all of your Health, flip your player aid to the red side. If this player aid was already red, the player is eliminated.
If no one wins, you play a new round with the player who just went into the Dungeon choosing the Adventurer and becoming the start player.
Game End
If only one player remains, or a player gets the Second Success card, they win.
Welcome to the Dungeon Round-Up
Although this is very simple, it’s very difficult! Almost every time you’re going into the Dungeon it’s because everyone else decided not to… What do they know you don’t? Or, more realistically, what have they stuck you with?
I haven’t survived a Dungeon run yet I think some tactical advice from me can probably be ignored…
But, if you drop out, stay in, add to the Dungeon, remove a piece of equipment… Every card you choose is a fight against yourself and those around you…. and it plays in like 10 minutes.
Welcome to the Dungeon Rating
Very simple, very fun but VERY tough.
I give it 7/10
Welcome to the Dungeon First Impression May 2015
Welcome to the Dungeon. We’ve got fun n games.
This is a very fun game with lots of choices to make.
Every player knows SOME of the monsters in the dungeon and you have an idea of which equipment you will need to survive it.
When deciding which equipment to remove, you can’t just take away the powerful stuff as each player will pass and leave you with it. But, at the same time, you can’t pass with the Adventurer overpowered and help other players get a VP.
It’s a very simple push your luck game where you can screw over your opponents.
One I’m glad I own and look forward to playing more.
