Learn how to play ito and all of the advanced variants as well.

Main Mechanisms

It’s a co-op party game to start with. But ‘ordering’, that little-used mechanism is the main part of the game.

USP

The USP is the co-operative ordering which creates a fair bit of table-talk.

Theme

None

Setup & Rulebook

Set up is as simple as shuffling the number cards and the question cards and putting the zero card on the table.

Components & Artwork

I mean, very basic card and graphic design, nothing special with no artwork to speak of.

Ease of Teaching

The game is of course very easy to teach. It can only take about a minute to play a full round so if mistakes are made just restart and start again.

Similar Games

it’s a cross between the silent ordering of The Mind which I’ve played and the clue-based game play of Wavelength, which I have not played.

My favourite ‘ordering’ game is Game of Trains which is not co-op or a party game, but it’s light.

ito Review

Positives

Very fun, clue-based gameplay.

It’s more challenging to give a decent clue than you might think.

The bad card draws, say one person getting 53 and another 54 are either hilarious…

Negatives

…or frustrating depending on who you are.

The simplicity and the ‘it’s a pastime, not a game’ factor will put some people off.

ito Round-Up

A fun party game that would make the perfect ice-breaker.

Rating

I give it 5/10
