Board Game Hall of Fame

This is the Rogues Gallery, the ‘Board Game Hall of Fame’ for Jesta ThaRogue.

Every February, I’ll look back 5 years at all the games I played for the first time in that year and induct all of those I still like into the ‘Rogues Gallery’.

So these are games I still love after 5 years, which is pretty good going!

Piña Pirata Review

*Both Piña Pirata and Magic: The Gathering were inducted as ‘2013’ even though they were released in 2014 and 1993 respectively due to me not writing about them at that time. All games worth inducting from the “Lost Sessions” post were inducted in 2018 to cover all of the bases, but it was just these two 🙂

There were no entries in 2023 and 2024!

Still enjoying a game after 5 years is a big deal. There are a load of new games out every week so for a game to hold your attention is something.

We all know about the ‘Cult of the New’, but it does seem like a majority of people are still enjoying older games, and that’s a good thing.

It’s not like games expire or go out of date like video games but they do fall by the wayside. Older games are updated or replaced with similar games that ‘do it better’. It happens.

So I wanted a page to celebrate the games that have longevity for me personally.
