Game Description

Set in the world of Runeterra, players take on the roles of four intrepid Yordles: Corki, Tristana, Heimerdinger, and Ziggs, who must join forces and pilot their newly-crafted mechs against an army of marauding minions. With modular boards, programmatic command lines, and a story-driven campaign, each mission will be unique, putting your teamwork, programming, and piloting skills to the test.

Set-Up

Setup varies from scenario to scenario. It’s VERY simple to do and the rulebook is fantastic. Honestly, going through it step by step with pictures as I usually do isn’t worthwhile this time.

Round-Up

First up, the box is HUGE.

Secondly, when you open it you see something awesome 🙂 The insert is perfect, the minis are fantastic and everything else, down to the dice, is amazing.

The game is also good. The rulebook as I mentioned is really good and tells a story… The scenarios start off with the basics and go from there. Each scenario adds something and makes the game different enough from what I’ve seen so far.

The rest I’ll leave up to you. Just know, I think it’s a good game 🙂

So far I’ve played the tutorial and 3 scenarios and enjoyed each one. The only issue and this happens with scenario-based games, is the group I was playing with has gone AWOL…

So, I reset and play with other people I guess? Cross my fingers and HOPE we can make it till the end…

Mechs vs Minions First Impressions November 2016

The game is excellent but at first, it felt quite flat. Like an extravagant Roborally. But once you get into the second part of the tutorial/1st scenario it gets AWESOME. You get damage which is fun and annoying, those minions come out and yes, you need all of them in the box 🙂

You also have all this stuff visible in the box along with a couple of D6s and a D12 with the different colours on that you initially use to establish the starting player. Exciting huh? 🙂
