Bucket of Doom First Impressions

Bucket of Doom: It comes in a bucket.

How convenient for storing on a shelf.

The death-dodging party game.

Escape from seriously bad situations with the help of seriously useless objects.

You have a hand with useless object cards.

Someone reads out a situation card and then, in any order, players play a card from their hand saying how they would use it to get out of that situation.

Bucket of Doom Cards

You vote with by pointing with your elbows (for some reason) and the most votes will get the card. In the case of a tie, the person reading out the card chooses between them.

It’s another Cards Against Humanity type game but adding the little story element is a very good addition to put this game above the others.

It’s only for a certain crowd but it’s a lot of fun.

Bucket of Doom Update June 2018

This is actually a pretty decent game. The answers are more deliberate and fun than CAH and similar games like Joking Hazard.

The storytelling element is also fun. I mentioned in my update of Movie Plotz that I prefer story games with a point. This has a point.

Here you get to be creative by using your random object to get yourself out of a sticky situation. If you haven’t got anything useful you can use your creativity to appeal to the question asker.

Should you think they would prefer the ‘Viagra’ answer then go with it. If not, save that card for a better situation or a player who will appreciate it more.

Look at me gaming this game ðŸ™‚

What I’m saying is, you can be creative, this is the main part. This is what the other games can’t offer. I’d quite like to play this with some big RPGers to see what they think and come up with.

The lowbrow humour is perfect for me too. 🙂
